  2. Wow! I thought Hirokin was finally going to get his comeuppance! An Inucest fanfic would be even lovelier. Looking forward to reading your spin on how that could possibly play out. . .

      1. I like dark fics or weird fics but that is one topic I steer clear of. Not my cup of tea really.

        To me it’s not believable or possible given the way Takahashi wrote the two brothers. At the end of the manga, you know the brothers will never be good friends. I got the sense they are in a truce of sorts only.

        And I’ve seen how some writers tried to spin it as the line between love and hate is really that thin or that Sesshoumaru was just trying to toughen up Inuyasha. Sesshoumaru started changing gradually midway through the series after he met Rin and you can argue that he stopped really wanting to kill Inuyasha. But that kind of negates the first half of the series when Sesshoumaru was trying to kill his half sibling and even accepted Naraku’s help by taking the arm offered.

        It’s too much non cannon for me. I prefer it when Sesshoumaru is kicking Inuyasha’s ass or putting his hand through his stomach. Remember that great scene? I do.

        1. Ha, one of my favorite scenes for sure 🙂 I agree, it’s tricky (if not next to impossible) to pull off a believable Inucest scenario. Especially a full-on romance between these two! D:

          But that said, I’m not opposed to the idea of two hot demons going at it in principle hahaha

        2. I completely agree with you. Always up for dark or PWPs, but I’m not into this kind of thing. Creepy and too unrealistic.

  3. I love that artist Zyephens!! They have some super hot stuff on Deviant Art – mostly Yaoi – but they also wrote one incomplete SessKag FF on Dokuga that is one of my favorites. It leaves off at a point that could be considered a cliffhanger ending, so it’s not that bad as far as incomplete fics go, and it has a hot SessKag sex scene:

    Yaoi doesn’t bother me if it comes up in a story, but I don’t actively seek it out, and I’ve never been into the Inuyasha & Sesshomaru incest thing because I just couldn’t buy a believable reason why it would ever happen. I agree with Doug in that I can’t see any way their canon relationship would ever tip over into a sexual encounter, or even a brotherly affectionate one – they’ll always be cautiously side-eyeing each other, ready to draw swords at the drop of a hat.

    Side note – I feel the same way with fics where Sess brutally rapes and tortures Kagome, but then dotes on and treats Rin like his beloved daughter – even when it’s explained as his “beast” taking over – I can’t get there from canon. You can’t do that to one young innocent girl and then treat another with true and pure love – you’re 100% evil when it comes to raping and torturing girls, regardless of the “all caps inner beast voice” raging in your head. Plus his beast is a literal giant dog, not some split personality.

      I feel pretty much the same about yaoi these days – can take it or leave it. If it comes up and is well-written (or well-depicted), I’m down. But I’ll prolly always be more of a het shipper 🙂

      Straight-up rape fics are boring to me, and don’t do Sesshoumaru’s complex character justice. Obviously I’m down with portraying a darker/psychotic bent to him (after all he is a DEMON), but it still needs to be believable and most of all internally consistent!!
