Hey guys! I know a couple of y’all at least have had some issues posting comments to the blog recently – especially from a mobile device. Just wanted to let y’all know that I’ve made some changes to the site so that comments can go through (Thanks so much Cheryl & VS for bringing this issue to my attention, and to VS once again for helping me test the fix!).

Still not entirely sure what the root cause is since I’m still not super-versed in WordPress, but I think it has something to do with recaptcha/Google’s API being incompatible with my theme at the moment. Anyways, here’s how comments are going to work at least for the time being: Comments are open for all posts 1 week old or newer, and comments won’t be moderated. So, even if you’re posting for the 1st time your comment will appear automatically. Anyway, hopefully this will balance things out – allowing y’all to comment unhindered without the blog getting bombarded by spambots.

I’ll be doing some research into other anti-spam features so that I can re-open all comments again in the near future. In the meantime thanks for bearing with me – and of course, for sharing your thoughts and feedback! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

(Btw, if any of you can recommend some good anti-spam tools for WordPress sites, I’d really appreciate it! I’m a software developer by trade but still pretty new to this WordPress stuff…Also, if ever comments should fail, y’all can always reach me at char@ficaholic.com 🙂 )
