As she passed back beneath the waterfall with Sesshoumaru, Kagome felt giddy, light as air. She giggled as he scooped her up and leapt with a single bound from the pool to the alcove high above. Not even Inuyasha could jump that far in one go. As Sesshoumaru set her on her feet on the golden floorweave, she smiled up at him. Her naked body pressed flush with his, dripping and steaming.
“You’re like Superman,” she said.
“Super-man,” Sesshoumaru echoed flatly, clearly unimpressed.
“He’s a superhero,” Kagome explained. “A fictional character from my time. Crazy powerful and totally made-up. But even if he wasn’t, I think that you could take him.”
Sesshoumaru scrutinized her. “You admire him, this ‘Superman’ character?”
Kagome flushed. “Well…when I was a little girl, maybe…”
“Then,” Sesshoumau said, dipping his mouth to hers, “I would gut him.”
Kagome’s lips twitched against his. Overkill there, she thought as he kissed her. But then she could see how in the bloodthirsty world of youkai this remark of his might pass for the most romantic of overtures.
He rared hot and hard into her belly again. Before Kagome even realized what she was doing, she’d snaked her hand down between them and gripped him—unseen onlookers be damned. Eyes locked with his, she stroked him while he groaned in a guttural grimace of fangs. It was the sexiest sight and sound she’d ever witnessed.
She sank to her knees on the ethereal flooring. She guided him into her mouth and took him in deep, well past the back of her throat. Her eyes teared up. Her gag reflex screamed as she serviced him there on her knees, one hand braced on his hip and the other fondling over his big taut balls best as she could singled-handed.
Her blearing eyes rose to his as she fucked him with her mouth and throat, teased at him with intrepid little darts of her tongue. His length throttled her. “Please,” Kagome bit out, clutching at his tousled silver hair, which was so charged with youki it sparked on contact with her touch. “Please, Sesshoumaru…I can’t take it anymore. I need you to fuck me. Fuck me, please…”
Darkly, he rose from the spread of her thighs, as if summoned up from some underworld far below. His golden eyes were shadowed. Red-tinged in the sclera. His upper fangs extended well past his lower lip.
“Ask me properly,” he said, as he drew himself lengthwise over her, looming.
Kagome’s lips parted soundlessly. Her brain drew a blank, helplessly fried. He shoved his hips between hers. He rammed his tapered, demonic cockhead past her soft inner folds, battering at her prone entrance. Her reiki sparked, then relented. The words tumbled out of her unbidden.
“Mate with me.”
Sesshoumaru smiled down at her as he joined their bodies together in a single, smooth thrust. Then again, and again…
Kagome’s release bled out of her like water as he bled into her, two waves commingled. She drifted off in his arms, after, into a deep and dreamless sleep.
When she woke, she assumed she was sleeping still. There was a press of ghostly presences around her, of whispered voices that fell to a hush as she stirred. Kagome didn’t pay them any real heed. The world was so pleasurably fogged, ebbing and flowing around her in mesmerizing rhythm, until she dimly understood that he was inside of her again. Curved like a crescent around her from behind, stoking them both to blissful completion once more.
Languid in the aftermath, Kagome turned to face him. She gazed into the soft beaten gold of his eyes and felt herself transported out of time and space. Into a place where they could stay like this, forever.
Then something big and four-legged bounded heedless between them, wedging them apart with his shaggy, sparking bulk. Kagome laughed. She curled her fingers into Shin’s dense fur as he wallowed between them, phasing into his human form and back again—
And then, suddenly, into another.
